To this end\, the Faith Community Committee researches and supports evidence-based and best practices to prevent and end homelessness in Pasadena. We are actively recruiting representatives from faith-based organizations to participate in these efforts. \n  \nThis meeting of the Faith Community Committee will focus on planning priorities for the next year.

SUMMARY:Pasadena Partnership Quarterly Meeting
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our quarterly Partnership meeting. Topics of discussion will include nominations for our two open board positions as well as the 2016 Homeless Count (Wednesday\, January 27th). \nIn preparation for this meeting\, please send us nominations for the two open board positions. As a reminder\, board members serve three year terms and cannot be representatives from CoC funded agencies. In particular\, we are seeking representatives from agencies providing victim services\, those that serve homeless youth\, and business leaders. \nAs stated in the Pasadena Partnership Governance Charter\, the Pasadena CoC Board is the primary planning body for the Pasadena CoC. Board members determine the policy direction of the CoC and ensure that the CoC fulfills its responsibilities as assigned by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Additionally\, the board oversees and approves the work of Pasadena CoC committees and workgroups.

The committee also addresses gaps in housing services\, putting into practice strategies that promote housing first. \n\n

SUMMARY:Homeless Count Planning Meeting
DESCRIPTION:In preparation for this year’s Homeless Count\, the Pasadena Partnership is hosting a special meeting of the Homeless Planning & Research Committee on Tuesday\, December 8 at 10am at the Housing Department’s Community Room (649 N. Fair Oaks Ave\, Pasadena\, CA). The focus of the entire meeting will be to ensure that the January 27 Homeless Count is as accurate as possible. Discussion will include: \n\nIdentifying unsheltered count locations\nRecruiting homeless and formerly homeless persons as counters\nIdentifying locations where homeless youth congregate\nRecruiting youth counters\nIdentifying places where homeless persons sleep in vehicles\n\nYour feedback is import to the successful planning and implementation of the count. Everyone is encouraged to attend.
