DESCRIPTION:On July 14th\, HUD released the 2017 Continuum of Care (CoC) Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA). As part of the CoC NOFA process\, the Pasadena CoC will be issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for new permanent housing projects to be included in the CoC’s application. The RFP will be an open application process with projects funded through bonus dollars ($185\,042) and any available reallocation funds.\n\n\nEligible Projects\n\n\nThe following types of new projects are eligible to apply:\n\n\nPermanent Supportive Housing (PSH) projects serving primarily chronically homeless individuals and families (including youth/young adults). Projects that serve 100% chronically homeless will have the opportunity to receive additional points when the application is scored.\nRapid Rehousing (RRH) projects that serve homeless individuals and families (including youth/young adults) coming directly from the streets or emergency shelters or who are homeless and meet paragraph (4) of the HUD definition of homeless which references those fleeing domestic violence\, dating violence\, sexual assault\, stalking or other dangerous situations.\n\nNew Project Workshop\n\nAgencies interested in applying for the RFP for new projects are required to attend the workshop for new projects hosted by the City of Pasadena Housing Department on Tuesday\, August 8th at 10am. The Housing Department is located at 649 N Fair Oaks in the shopping center at the corner of Orange Grove and Fair Oaks and the entrance is just north of Blaze Pizza. You will enter through the double glass doors with the City of Pasadena seal and proceed to the 2nd Floor.

DESCRIPTION:The Faith Community Committee aims to facilitate faith-based agencies in their efforts to address homelessness in Pasadena. To this end\, the Faith Community Committee researches and supports evidence-based and best practices to prevent and end homelessness in Pasadena. We are actively recruiting representatives from faith-based organizations to participate in these efforts. \n\nAt our next meetingJoe Colletti of the Office of Urban Initiatives will be with us to share recent trends in faith community collaboration with city and county-wide efforts to end homelessness. In other news he sub-committee on strategically sharing our Toolkit continues to meet and take next steps on spreading the word\, the Homeless to Housed Bus Tour has sent out invitations to local religious leaders for the upcoming event\, and the mapping tool for local agencies in Pasadena is ready to be shared. \nWe’ve got lots of updates to share at the meeting as well as several recent stories of helping our neighbors find homes.
